7 Levels of Human Conciousness

Overview
Seven well-defined stages can be distinguished in the development of personal consciousness. Each stage focuses on a particular existential need that is inherent to the human condition. The seven existential needs are the principal motivating forces in all human affairs. Individuals grow in consciousness by learning to master the satisfaction of these needs. Individuals who learn how to master all seven needs without harming or hurting others operate from full-spectrum consciousness. They have the ability to respond appropriately to all life’s challenges. The seven existential needs that constitute the seven stages in the development of personal consciousness are shown in the following table.

The “lower” needs, levels 1 to 3, focus on our physiological need for survival; our physical and emotional need for safety; and our emotional need for self-esteem.

The “higher” needs, levels 5 to 7, focus on our spiritual needs – the need to find meaning in our lives, the need to make a difference in the world, and the need to be of service.

The first three levels focus on our personal self-interest – meeting the needs of the ego. The last three levels focus on the common good – meeting the needs of the soul.

The focus of the fourth level is transformation – a shift from self-interest to the common good. This is where the ego learns to let go of its fears so that it can become one with the soul.

For Your Health: Chakras

Here's a fact for you, people need to be "recharged" with energy as an essential part of their healing process.

The fact of the matter is that energy healing works purely at the energetic level of your being. It therefore goes without saying that since everything is made up of patterns of energy, working with it directly influences your physical, mental, emotional as well as your spiritual levels, making this the "holistic" natural approach.

To explain further, this kind of work impacts primarily on two distinct energy fields within and around your physical body.

Firstly, you probably already know this, surrounding your body is an energy field which some sensitive people can actually see with all its beautiful colours, this field is called your Aura.

Secondly starting from your crown on the very top of your head all the way down your spine are seven evenly spaced spinning vortexes called the Chakra's.

The important thing is... It is our objective to bring these two energy fields back into balance and harmony using the holistic approach.

Benefits of Energy Healing:

***Promotes improvements of many dis-eased states.
***Frees you from limiting thoughts and behaviours.
***Assists you in discovering your purpose in life.
***Is a catalyst in helping you develop conscious intentional living.
***Strengthens your connection to inner/higher guidance.
***Opens you to joy and abundance.
***Allows you to be at one with your inner knowingness.
***Puts you in harmony with those around you.

You've probably heard, and you're right, that the human essence, your essence is a wondrous thing with the ultimate capacity to rejuvenate and regenerate itself which is limited solely by:

***your awareness
***your thoughts
***your emotions

Earlier on you read that everything is energy thus absolutely everything visible as well as "invisible" to the human eye vibrates (moves) at a very specific frequency.

Of course there is already a flash game for this... ha.

Hit Bush in the Head with a Shoe: The Flash Game

"Bush: "That's what people do in a free society, draw attention to themselves"

Yesterday, during George Bush's final visit to Afghanistan, an empassioned Iraqi journalist threw both his shoes at Bush in a sign of great disrespect.

Not surprisingly, encouraged by the people's uprising here in America and the subsequent election of Barack Obama- the rest of the world is feeling the wind of freedom in their hair.

(BBC News Article- "Bush shoe-ing worst Arab insult")
Around the Arab world, if you want to escalate a situation, by saying for example "I'm going to thump you", add the words "with a shoe" and you're adding serious insult to the threat of possible injury.

And of course, what is Bush's demented take on the incident...

From TheAge.com article in Australia: "Bush hails shoe attack as win for democracy"
The US President laughed off an incident in Baghdad on Sunday when he was nearly hit by an angry Iraqi reporter's shoes.

The journalist, Muntather al-Zaidi, 28, a correspondent for the Iraqi station al-Baghdadia, shouted in Arabic: "This is a gift from the Iraqis; this is the farewell kiss, you dog!" He then threw a shoe at Mr Bush, who ducked and narrowly avoided it.

Zaidi then threw his other shoe, shouting in Arabic: "This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq!" Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's security agents jumped on Zaidi and hustled him out of the room. He was detained on unspecified charges.

Mr Bush tried to brush off the incident. "All I can report is it is a size 10," he said. He also called the incident a sign of democracy in the country, saying, "that's what people do in a free society, draw attention to themselves", as Zaidi's screaming was heard outside.

*****

It is my opinion that Bush is the anti-thesis of what true democracy means. He had to become president of the US to show the world what true democracy is.

How I would've loved to be a fly on the wall in that room... Here's a clip from MSNBC documenting the incident.

Throughout the Arab world- Bush's picture has long been associated with shoes. A sign of obvious disrespect.

Change is coming. The world will soon know Peace.

"It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despiceable an ignoreable war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." -- Albert Einstein

Many Moons

Janelle Monae. "Many Moons"

This video/song is rife with symbolism. Its deep man. She is an incredibly talented artist.

Please enjoy.

This post is dedicated to Will Morgan. (Thanks for sharing the video with me Will.)

"Many Moons" Lyrics

We're dancing free but we're stuck here underground
And everybody trying to figure they way out
Hey hey hey, all we ever wanted to say
Was chased erased and then thrown away
And day to day we live in a daze

Refrain:
We march all around til' the sun goes down night children
Broken dreams, no sunshine, endless crimes, we long for freedom (for freedom)
You're free but in your mind, your freedom's in a bind

Chorus:
Oh make it rain, ain't a thang and the sky to fall
(the silver bullet's in your hand and the war's heating up)
And when the truth goes bang the shouts splatter out
(revolutionize your lives and find a way out)
And when you're growing down instead of growing up
(you gotta ooo ah ah like a panther)
Tell me are you bold enough to reach for love?
(na na na...)

2nd verse:
So strong for so long
All i wanna do is sing my simple song
Square or round, rich or poor
At the end of day and night all we want is more
I keep my feet on solid ground and use my wings when storms come around
I keep my feet on solid ground for freedom
You're free but in your mind, your freedom's in a bind

Chorus

Cybernetic chantdown:
Civil rights, civil war
Hood rat, crack xxxxx
Carefree, nightclub
Closet drunk, bathtub
Outcast, weirdo
Stepchild, freak show
Black girl, bad hair
Broad nose, cold stare
Tap shoes, broadway
Tuxedo, holiday
Creative black, love song
Stupid words, erased song
Gun shots, orange house
Dead man walking with a dirty mouth
Spoiled milk, stale bread
Welfare, bubonic plague
Record deal, light bulb
Keep back kid not corporate thug
Breast cancer, common cold
Hiv, lost hope
Overweight, self esteem
Misfit, broken dream
Fish tank, small bowl
Closed mind, dark hold
Cybergirl, droid control
Get away now they trying to steal your soul
Microphone, one stage
Tomboy, outrage
Street fight, bloody war
Instigators, third floor
Promiscuous child, broken dream
Std, quarentine
Heroin user, coke head
Final chapter, death bed
Plastic sweat, metal skin
Metallic tears, mannequin
Carefree, night club
Closet drunk, bathtub
White house, jim crow
Dirty lies, my regards

Closing lullaby:
And when the world just treats you wrong
Just come with me and i'll take you home
No need to pack a bag
Who put your life in the danger zone?
You running dropping like a rolling stone
No need to pack a bag
You just can't stop your hurt from hanging on
The old man dies and then a baby's born
Chan, chan, chan, change your life
And when the world just treats you wrong
Just come with me and i'll take you home
Shan, shan shan shan-gri la
Na na na na na na na na na na na.

Two Sides of a Musical Coin

I first heard Santogold's music through MIA's MySpace top friends list.
Santogold and MIA share producers, fashion sense, and their sounds are both completely original. MIA's music is more of a hiphop-reggae-rap mishmash revolving around personal stories touting revolution and people-first nationalism. Not suprsing, considering her roots. While Santo's songs are more personal and self-searching.

Each are equal in appeal.

The Other Changedot

I've just recently began reading Change.org. Great site- good news aritcles that appear to be non-biased and all about effective change on a person by person basis.

From the website- "Change.org is a social entrepreneurship venture based in San Francisco, CA. The company was founded by Ben Rattray in the summer of 2005, and with the support of a friend from Stanford, Mark Dimas, and a founding team of Darren Haas, Rajiv Gupta, and Adam Cheyer, Change.org launched the first version of its site in 2007.

Here's one example of their focus. Very positive and proactive centered articles.
